Emory the Mystery Doll
The 2 main questions for this character are: where is she/he's parents from and what is she/he's time-period.
First of all the name Emory is German and Van Zant is Dutch. This means that Emory's mother is most likely an immigrant from Germany and her/his father is an immigrant from the Netherlands. My first guess is really far fetched, but I'll still share it. Perhaps Emory is from 1949 or 1950 and will be a friend to Maryellen. This would mean that American Girl would have to create more stories for the Beforever characters. Perhaps Emory's parents were spies since the Netherlands were controled by Germany in World War II. My other guess, (which is more logical) is that Emory is from the 1920s and she was born in Germany or the Netherlands. Here is the state chart again:
