The American Girl Theory

      I have begun to look through the American Girl community for the first time in around 2 years, and boy oh boy have things changed! And quite honestly, I am adoring the changes! I thought I would mention some things that I have noticed, some opinions I'm having about the American Girl of the 2020s, and some updates for this blog!      Starting off, here is a consecutive list of changes I've noticed, both within the brand of American Girl and the American Girl fanbase. Within this list are my thoughts, most of which are very good! Courtney!  I was actually aware of Courtney pretty close to her release, I just didn't feel that much of an urge to post about it. I think she's super cute, but she just isn't my style! I love her arcade and Caboodle! I also loved the touch of giving her her very own American Girl doll! My only critique is that apparently her eyes have a slightly downward gaze, but it doesn't seem to be that noticeable. World By Us I am i...

I have decided to say my opinion on this topic. American Girl Doll News' theory is that they will be archived (or cubed), but I disagree. First, let's start with Kit. Kit: 1: It's important for girls to know that female reporters weren't always as common as they were today. For instance, my great-grandmother had a 5 minute show in the 50s or 60s. That was a big thing then, think about it in Kit's time, especially for a girl her age. 2: The 1930s need to be talked about, people should be learning from Kit's story to not take things for granted. Z: 1: She's such a new character, if they were to cube or archive her they'd get a lot of backlash for it. 2: American Girl finally released more diverse characters, they know better than to archive or cube Z.     A little ways back I mentioned that Luciana will be available even after 2018. We will be talking about that a lot today. But please, before we start, remember that this is a theory, Luciana may just be sold until she is completely out of stock, I'm not sure. But, if Luciana does become a contemporary character in 2018, it wouldn't surprise me. It wouldn't even surprise me if the name "Girl of the Year" goes away. Since Luciana and Josefina are both Latina and American Girl is at times a bit racist. Not always but like...................     This brings me to my next point, Luciana taking Josefina's place. Of course with cubing, she will somewhat take her place. It just makes total sense. What do you think is this possible? Thanks for reading!!! ~The American Girl Theory

If you've read my l ast 2 posts, this will make perfect sense to you.  Remember how we found out about Maryellen really early? Exactly my point. We may find out about Molly's (sweater) things way earlier than the doll is released. Perhaps we will find out about Kirsten or Caroline next. I talked about the Wellie-Wishers and stupid cubing yesterday, because if cubing ends there won't be enough room in all stores for them. That's my point. I'll expand more later. It just lines up. The reason i am wondering this is well, no particular reason. I think this may happen though because, first of all, people are getting fed up with the whole "cubed" thing. (well at least I am) So all in all it's more likely that Wellie-Wishers will only be at Kohl's and similar places. Also, if the other Beforever characters ever come back from the archives... So many people think Kit is getting archived when we only have 1 clue. Recently, this was posted on American Girl Doll News.   This will release on February 19, 2018. Molly will most likely release on the same date. For Nanea's release Samantha and Addy did not get new books. They were also cubed. Since Kit will have a new book on Molly's release date we now know that Kit will not  be cubed.  Now we also know that Josefina will be cubed, since she is not getting a new book. I've got to say Josefina. Why you may ask, well................................. Why did American Girl archive Josefina's oven and food? Why in the Create Your Own catalog let people know to find Samantha, Felicity and Addy online but not Josefina? (Josefina was also not in the catalog)  I think that should be enough proof. Also wanting us to know about early World War 2 and late World War 2. Perhaps they want lots of clothes for Molly so we can see just how much changed between 1941 and 1944. That's why I say no.
