Before we get into the actual post, I decided I'd update a bit since I haven't posted since April 28th. I still exist, I still love dolls. But quite frankly, American Girl just confuses me. (I guess that's the update.) I mean, as I'm writing this I realized that the whole Create-Your-Own thing is kind of just a lazy way of American Girl not having to be creative. I mean, come on, you could create SO many new dolls with it. I mean, yeah, you can make more D.O.C.s, but how much will it cost you. $200. TWO-HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!!! Why? Now, I have decided to see how much a normal Truly Me would cost (if that's even what they're called anymore, I don't know, it's been changed too much. Here's all that for you, I had to do some other stuff too, so here's that whole thing (Sorry for mixing tenses): AG Doll: $115 I mean, you don't have to get any extras if you don't want to. And we also all know that American Girl prices stuff way highe...
I'm guessing that Estelle will probably be French, like 50% of my family! I don't mean New Orleans like Cecile and Marie-Grace, but a French immigrant living in 1894. And I think that the year after that we will most likely be getting a 1874 historical character if the pattern keeps going on. Otherwise, we could get a 1980's or 1990's doll like you said, such as Blaire, although I think her being a Contemporary Character or Girl of the Year 2019 is more likely. But we never know! I guess we'll see what American Girl has in store for us! Now, I need your help with something. I'm saving up for a large doll shopping spree for my 20th birthday this October and I know which dolls I'm going to get except for one. I know that it's going to be a Truly Me doll, and there are only seven of the current ones that I don't have and haven't chosen already. (I got thirteen dolls with my own money last year for my 19th birthday! It was awesome! So I'm hoping that being twenty years old will be extra special!) Okay! So the dolls that I haven't chosen are:

What do you think?
My personal favorites are #26 and #54, but it's up to you. I also think that it would be exciting to see another immigrant besides Kirsten. I think I may look into what time period it was when the most French immigrants came into America and what territory/state was most common. Also, do you feel like American Girl needs to start marketing to older audiences, or is this just me?
DeleteEstelle was most popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s. It was also a popular name in the 1920s among celebrities. Like Estelle Taylor. Considering Mattel doesn't do any dolls before the 20th century my guess is she will be a 1920s doll.
