Why was Samantha Cubed?

The first huge question in this one is why did cubing even become a thing? It's just kind of annoying in my opinion. I think cubing was possibly created since they brought Samantha back and then knew it would be a bad idea to archive her for a second time. Also, they knew they would receive a lot of backlash if the would archive Addy. Samantha was most likely cubed because American Girl expected her to be super popular, but she wasn't as popular as planned. Therefore, Felicity was also cubed since they didn't know how popular she'd be. By now you are probably wondering: "Does that mean if Felicity, Samantha, or Addy become more popular they will not be cubed anymore?" My guess is no, American Girl (at least not at my location) doesn't seem to have enough room. Are there any questions about American Girl you'd like me to answer? If so, leave them in the comments. Rainy Day (Blaire Short Story #1)

    First off, these aren't in any particular order, just little short stories about Blaire and what I think could happen in one of her stories. Also, sorry I'm writing this so late, I was going to write this yesterday, but I forgot to. In other words, I'm writing this at school. I hope you enjoy the story! (It's in Blarie's point of view.)      I stepped outside, that's when I remembered; it was raining. So then I turned around and went back inside. I wasn't wet thanks to the awning over our front porch. I went to the coat closet in my family's entry way and pulled out my lavender rain jacket and my floral umbrella.
