Special Molds 4: The Classic Mold

Image
Most American Girl fans know that Kirsten, Molly, and Samantha were the first American Girl dolls. I think that explains why their mold is called the "Classic Mold"; because it was the first mold ever used by American Girl! Currently 39 dolls use the mold, including Tenney, Z, and Felicity. The classic mold is used the most often. Those are the basic facts. Hope you enjoyed this little post! Tenney

Special Molds 3: The "Josefina Mold"

Image
The "Josefina Mold" is one of American Girl's most common molds and currently 12 dolls use it. The Beforever characters with it are Josefina, Melody, Julie, and Rebecca. Gabriela's mold also uses it.  The Truly Me dolls with the "Josefina Mold" are #28, #47, #53, #62, #66, #71, #73 and dolls without hair #3 and #4. Gabriela  also has the "Josefina Mold". The first doll to have the "Josefina Mold" was Josefina Montoya. Which is why the mold is called the "Josefina Mold". Josefina Julie  Next Post: Special Molds 5: The Original Mold

Why was Caroline Archived?

Image
So why was Caroline archived? No one really pondered on it; except me! It's been weird, Caroline was archived after being in stores only 2 to 3 years. They did it earlier, in 2014 when they archived Marie-Grace and Cecile.   But they had good reason for it; so it wasn't "worthless" like it was with Caroline. But was it actually "worthless", or was there good reason for the character's archiving. Reason 1: Caroline could have been archived to make room for Maryellen. This is the most likely guess because it's very reasonable. Reason 2: Less people could be buying Caroline. This is still reasonable, but doesn't seem as likely. Last but not least, reason 3: Caroline looks to similar to a doll from a different brand. Clearly the least likely. Next Post: Special Molds 4: The "Josefina Mold".

Special Molds 2: Kanani

Image
A handful of Kanani (image 1) dolls are O.O.A.K. (one of a kind). But definitely Marie-Grace (image 2) dolls are known for being O.O.A.K. Personally I think that if Kanani had been around just a couple more years she would be known for being O.O.A.K. The O.O.A.K. Kanani (image 3) dolls really are gorgeous. Kanani has almond shaped eyes and the smile from the classic face-mold. She has very pretty hazel eyes and light very long light brown hair. A doll that will never be forgotten. She was American Girl's first Hawaiian doll. Nanea  will be the second. I love that had a Hawaiian doll because of the diversity and because Hawaii  sounds so lovely. I hope they come out with more dolls of diversity. Speaking of... Nanea the Mystery Doll: How They Connect

Image
Image 1      In my last post I briefly went in to the video I watched where they talked about how Nanea's face-mold looks a lot like the Wellie Wishers'. I started wondering if one of the Wellie Wishers is a descendant of Nanea. I decided that it would be Ashlyn. (images 1 and 2) Look at the similarities! If they are related will American Girl tell us some how? I also found that Nanea's hairstyle is also very similar to Caroline (image 3) and Maryellen's (image 4). One of the coolest things I discovered is that Nanea shows one perspective  of World War II; while Molly shows the other. It's very interesting. I am almost thinking that American Girl has known that there will be a Hawaiian 1940s doll for a long time. I think this because Molly's Halloween costume is a Hawaiian Girl. She could've picked anything else! The last (and probably best) thing I discovered is that Nanea shows what all of the American Girl characters have in common. Kokua. Image 2 ...

Special Molds 1: Marie-Grace

Image
When most people think of the doll Marie-Grace they think of an O.O.A.K. doll. (O.O.A.K. is the abbreviation for one of a kind.) She's known as the O.O.A.K. doll because she's the only doll with the face mold that she has. Marie-Grace doll It's really stunning and I wonder how American Girl came up with the idea for that facemold. Sadly, she was archived in 2014 alongside Cecile, Molly, Emily, Ivy, and Ruthie. There was one truly heartbreaking thing about her. Most Marie-Grace dolls had very loose limbs. Either way her facemold really does make her an incredible O.O.A.K. doll.  O.O.A.K. Marie-Grace doll

Nanea the Mystery Doll

Image
Before I start this post I would like to sorry for not posting this sooner. There are two main reasons for this. 1. I've been rather busy lately. 2. I haven't been able to find a whole lot about Nanea. Now let's get into it. Image 3      Nanea's release date is hard to find. American Girl says that she's available this fall; but I asked American Girl and they said differently. (image 1) They stated that she'll most likely be coming out around the same time as Maryellen and Melody. If you don't know when they came out, it was late August. In my last post I guessed when her story takes place. Well, I was right on the general time period! Her story takes place sometime in 1941; when there was the attack on Pearl Harbor. I was watching a video one day where the channel owner brought up the fact that her face mold looks quite a lot like the Wellie Wishers' face-mold. You can look at the photos; I'll get more into it in a different post. The odd...

When and Where does Nanea's Story Take Place?

Image
Hey guys! Before I start this post I just want to say sorry about the last post's font color. If you have trouble ever reading the posts just highlight them.      A question I'm guessing a lot of people have had is: When does Nanea's story take place and where? First of all, I think she is from World War 2 because of her clothes and image 1 down below. We already know she lives in Hawaii because of image 2. She most likely lives in 1941 in Hawaii because the attack on Pearl Harbor was in Hawaii on December 7, 1941. The reason I'm guessing her time period is because of images 3 and 4. The story could either start in about June of 1941 to cause some tension that something bed is going to happen or in November or December to get right down to the attack. Have any questions you want me to answer? Comment them. Image 4 Nanea's Profile.   Next Blog: Nanea the Mystery doll. Thoughts on Boy Doll and "New" Felicity

Image
Hello everyone! So today I am going to tell you what I think of American Girl coming out with a boy doll (Logan) and the "new" Felicity. First of all, I'm glad American Girl came out with a boy doll, but it's American Girl , not American Boy ! Yes, I do know about the Bitty Twin boys from American Girl. But it is is Bitty Twin more than American Girl in this case. Also, they ruined Kaya's shut mouth! That was special to HER!  I once asked American Girl about it and they said that it was part of her culture. It's just sad that they ruined the specialness of Kaya. Now on to  Felicity! Yes, I am VERY  excited that Felicity is back, but there are some things I dislike. Such as, in my opinion the dress makes her look a little chubby. I just feel like the bustle makes it look this way I guess. Also, the neon green eyes were changed. This made me sad because the original eyes just go really well with Felicity, it's a part of her personality.  Next Posts: When d...

How did American Girl make room for 6 new dolls?

As you know, American Girl is coming out with 6 new dolls. Now the question is: how did they make room for 6 new dolls? (the new dolls are: Gabriela, Tenney, Logan, Felicity, Z, and Nanea) Well we can get rid of Gabriela in this circumstance because all American Girl has to do to make room for her is to keep making and archiving G.O.T.Y dolls. So 5 new dolls. The reason they had room for 5 new dolls is the 6 dolls archived in 2014(Marie-Grace, Cecile, Molly, Emily, Ruthie, and Ivy). Okay, so why would they come out with only 5 new dolls? Well they didn't, Samantha counts as the 6th new doll because she came out when Beforever came out. (you can also use Maryellen or Melody).     So we know why they archived Marie-Grace and Cecile. If you took away either one of them the story wouldn't make any sense. So why get rid of both Molly and  Emily? After all, the story would still make sense if you got rid of only one of them. The most likely answer is that A...

What It'll All Be About

So my blogs won't be the correct answers of American Girl questions, just my guess. (the theory part) Also, the questions I'll be answering won't always be ones American Girl fans are asking, just ones people might have one day. I want to give an "answer" before anyone asks them. I'll have 15 posts and then I'll have a 1 week to 1 month break. Hope you'll enjoy my blog!
