The American Girl Theory

     First off, my school gets out really early each year so I'll have a lot more time to post, but since leaks are very slow lately and American Girl isn't telling us about ANY new dolls, (I'll have a theory about the whole new dolls thing soon.), I still may not post a whole lot. Now, time for the actual post.     1.* For years  now, people have been saying that Della will be the next Girl of the Year. I remember 3 years ago searching up "GOTY 2016" and Della popping up. Therefore, the first reason I say no to Della is because it just been so long and we still have no Della doll. It just doesn't make logical sense for it to have been 3 years and there is still no Della.      2.*  Second, she doesn't have a last name. It's Della, just Della, nothing else. For heaven's sakes, WHY DOESN'T SHE STILL HAVE A LAST NAME AFTER 3 YEARS? I don't know why this bugs me so much, but it does. Moving on, I hope you agree with me, either way, pleas...

Soooooo I was watching a Sm0ldolls video on Youtube and I completely agree with everything in the video so I want to talk about my opinions on the subject.( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J16kf7tsw34 )  In a recent post I talked about how American Girl needs to start marketing to older audiences and I still very much agree with that. So, I will be going to the AG Benefit Sale this year and here is what I know so far.  1: I have tickets for Saturday, but I don't know the time yet. I will update everyone once I find out the time 2: During part of Sunday you do not need tickets to go; I will also be there during that time. 3: You can still buy tickets for Saturday.  4: I'm not allowed to show my face online, so here are pictures of the doll I will be bringing and the outfit she will be wearing on the first day. Her name is Sabrina.   I will take more pictures of her in this outfit a week before the sale. I will most likely be giving more information between May 20 and July 20.  5: I can't decide which outfit she will wear on Sunday so what do you guys think she should wear? I know, long title. But I've wondered this before, in fact, it was an American Girl Doll News post that made me decide to finally talk about this. Firstly, I personally feel that less 7-9 year old's go to American Girl, but more 10-16 year old's are into American Girl. It seems that American Girl is slowing starting to market towards older customers with Tenney and Z, but still not enough. In my opinion, if American Girl were to start marketing towards older customers, their sales would start to rise. Last year, I sold 2 of my dolls (#38 and #55), and a girl who was maybe anywhere from 12 to 14, bought them both. Normally, I don't make 2 posts a day, but I decided to today. I also normally don't do posts like this because it can make me uncomfortable. Well, in case you did not know Bella, from "The Nook Dolls" on Instagram had passed away from cancer. I never met her, but she always seemed so, so, hopeful. I know that if I had cancer I would be a complete wreck, I would just want it to be over, I wouldn't be nearly as hopeful as she was. An inspiration she will always be. The first huge question in this one is why did cubing even become a thing? It's just kind of annoying in my opinion. I think cubing was possibly created since they brought Samantha back and then knew it would be a bad idea to archive her for a second time. Also, they knew they would receive a lot of backlash if the would archive Addy. Samantha was most likely cubed because American Girl expected her to be super popular, but she wasn't as popular as planned. Therefore, Felicity was also cubed since they didn't know how popular she'd be. By now you are probably wondering: "Does that mean if Felicity, Samantha, or Addy become more popular they will not be cubed anymore?" The 2 main questions for this character are: where is she/he's parents from and what is she/he's time-period.        First of all the name Emory is German and Van Zant is Dutch. This means that Emory's mother is most likely an immigrant from Germany and her/his father is an immigrant from the Netherlands. My first  guess is really far fetched, but I'll still share it. Perhaps Emory is from 1949 or 1950 and will be a friend to Maryellen. This would mean that American Girl would have to create more stories for the Beforever characters. Perhaps Emory's parents were spies since the Netherlands were controled by Germany in World War II. My other guess, (which is more logical) is that Emory is from the 1920s and she was born in Germany or the Netherlands. Here is the state chart again:  Blue means a character is from that state already. In the second map orange is the possibilities. I think Iowa or Vermont would be most likely. What do you think?     I have several theories on Blaire Wilson, so I decided to share them with you. The first question is what is her personality/talent? For example, Luciana's is astronomy, Saige's is painting, Kit's is writing, Melody's is gardening/music, and Felicity's is horseback riding. That sort of thing. The second question is where is she from? Lastly, what will her collection look like. Question 1: Maryellen is a kind of artsy character, we especially see this in her movie, so that is marked off of the list. Julie is the sporty character so that is also crossed off. Rebecca is the theater character so I wouldn't expect to see another acting character. It has been a while though since a designing character. It would make for a really interesting collection and behind the scenes of plays and musicals isn't all that known; so it would be cool to see a character working backstage. I do think Blaire will a 90s character, so all of these are "American Girl of Today" outfits with changed color. This could also possibly help if we see leaks with similar colors and styles.
